Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 11, 2026
Santa Martha Cafe LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Location Alert, an SMS reminder service available through https://www.santamarthacafe.com/. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Your name, mobile telephone number, and email address;
- Your reminder preferences, schedule, time zone, and reminder text;
- Your SMS opt-in and opt-out records, including dates, times, and consent method;
- Messages you send to us, including supported keywords such as STOP and HELP;
- Technical and delivery information, such as IP address, browser type, message status, and error logs; and
- Information you voluntarily provide when contacting customer support.
If you enter medication-related reminder text, that text may reveal health-related information. Please provide only the information needed to create your reminder. Location Alert is a reminder tool and is not a healthcare provider or a substitute for medical advice.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, schedule, personalize, and deliver the reminders you request;
- Confirm enrollment, process opt-out requests, and provide customer support;
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our agreements.
3. SMS Messaging Program
By opting in, you agree to receive recurring SMS reminder and service messages from Location Alert at the mobile number you provide. Message frequency varies according to the reminder schedule you select. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Reply STOP to cancel SMS messages at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the information below. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. Mobile Information and SMS Consent
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile telephone number, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may disclose this information only to service providers that help us deliver and support the messaging program, such as telecommunications carriers and messaging-platform providers, and only as necessary to provide the service. Those providers may not use the information for their own marketing. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable privacy protections. The SMS consent restrictions in this section continue to apply.
5. Service Providers
We use service providers to host and secure the service, deliver SMS messages, monitor delivery, and provide technical support. For example, SMS messages may be transmitted through Twilio and participating mobile carriers. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain required consent and opt-out records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. SMS messages are not end-to-end encrypted; avoid placing highly sensitive medical or financial details in reminder text.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and certain records may be retained where legally required.
9. Children's Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can address it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and change the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
